I'm standing tall before the sea,
from that horizon comes my calling,
from those waves that roll on gleaming foam
I hear my name called by some voice, unknown…
It's sending out a song that's foretelling my arrival!
Great relief to know that I can fly
way past the distance of that glowing line,
'cause I just can't be blind
to that great world that lies beyond the sky!

Because the place where I was born
is the departing port from where to leave,
raise up all anchors, let sails fly away
towards the oceans, to the open sea…

To look at the stars and the beautiful sunsets,
the faces of people who struggle and huddle,
my brothers and sisters who're speaking in languages
I will be learning and soon understanding.
Perhaps it'll be obvious in different lands
that living and loving change under the sun!
